About the role
Our client is seeking a Resident Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor and hands‑on leader for enterprise data and analytics programs. In this role, you will partner closely with client stakeholders and delivery teams to design, optimize, and scale modern data platforms built on Databricks and cloud‑native technologies. You will combine deep technical expertise with architecture leadership to drive measurable business outcomes across complex data ecosystems.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Deliver Modern Data Platforms Lead the design and implementation of scalable data engineering, analytics, and Lakehouse solutions on Databricks.
- Establish Technical Standards & Roadmaps Define architecture patterns, best practices, governance models, and long‑term technical roadmaps for client data platforms.
- Hands‑On Platform Leadership Provide direct guidance on development, optimization, and production deployment of Databricks workloads and cloud data services.
- Performance, Scalability & Cost Optimization Drive tuning strategies, cluster optimization, and cloud cost‑efficiency improvements across Spark and Databricks environments.
- DevOps, CI/CD & MLOps Enablement Collaborate with engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, production deployment workflows, and MLOps frameworks.
- Technical Mentorship Coach engineering teams on distributed computing concepts, Spark internals, and modern data platform design principles.
- Technology Evaluation & Strategy Assess emerging Databricks and cloud capabilities and recommend adoption strategies aligned with client business goals
What we're looking for
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics.
- Databricks Data Engineering Professional Certification and completion of the required training curriculum.
- Proven delivery of 6–8+ enterprise Databricks projects with significant hands‑on development experience.
- Deep expertise in Apache Spark, including runtime internals, performance tuning, and distributed computing.
- Strong architecture and deployment experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP, with working knowledge of at least one additional cloud.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud‑native development, and production deployment best practices.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML lifecycle management, and model deployment processes.
