Job Description: Dayforce Dashboards Consultant
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dayforce Dashboards Pro Implementation Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of role-based dashboards within the Dayforce platform for a client organization. This engagement will replace manual, export-driven reporting (Excel/Power BI) with integrated, real-time dashboards tailored to distinct audiences — Executive Leadership, HR Administration, Payroll, and Managers — while ensuring appropriate data visibility through Dayforce Security Roles.
This is a client-facing consulting role requiring both deep Dayforce platform expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills, as the consultant will guide the client through discovery, design, security configuration, and go-live.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
- Discovery & Requirements Gathering: Lead structured discovery sessions with client stakeholders across Executive, HR, Payroll, and People Management functions to identify the KPIs and metrics most relevant to each audience.
- Dashboard Design & Configuration: Design and build role-based dashboards in Dayforce Dashboards Pro, translating business requirements into functional, intuitive visualizations.
- Security Role Alignment: Configure and align Dayforce Security Roles to Dashboards Pro so that each audience (Executives, HR, Payroll, Managers, etc.) sees only the data appropriate to their role and level of access.
- Implementation Methodology: Apply a structured, repeatable implementation approach — covering discovery, design, build, testing, and deployment — and clearly communicate this methodology to client stakeholders.
- Migration from Manual Reporting: Assess current-state reporting processes (manual Excel exports, Power BI reports) and design a transition plan to integrated, real-time Dayforce reporting.
- Documentation & Enablement: Produce dashboard design documentation, security mapping, and end-user training/enablement materials.
- Project Delivery: Contribute to project timeline estimates, implementation approach documentation, and status reporting throughout the engagement.
- Client Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert, advising the client on Dayforce reporting and analytics best practices beyond the immediate dashboard build.
What we're looking for
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience implementing Dayforce Dashboards Pro, including at least one full implementation from discovery through go-live.
- Demonstrated experience configuring Dayforce Security Roles to support differentiated, role-based reporting experiences.
- Strong understanding of core Dayforce modules (HR, Payroll, Workforce Management) and how data flows across them into reporting/dashboards.
- Experience translating business requirements into KPIs and dashboard visualizations for varied audiences (Executive, HR, Payroll, Manager-level).
- Ability to design and articulate a clear implementation methodology, including discovery frameworks used to prioritize KPIs by organizational level.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting or leading transitions from manual/export-based reporting (Excel, Power BI) to integrated, real-time platform reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dayforce certification(s) relevant to Dashboards Pro, Security, or Reporting/Analytics.
- Portfolio of prior dashboard designs (anonymized examples/screenshots) demonstrating role-based reporting for multiple user groups.
- Background in HRIS, HCM, or workforce analytics consulting.
- Experience developing project scoping documents, timelines, and cost estimates for implementation engagements.
- Familiarity with Power BI or Excel-based reporting environments, to support migration planning.
Engagement Details
- Anticipated Start: Within 30–45 days of partner/consultant selection.
- Engagement Type: Project-based implementation consulting.
- Deliverables: Discovery findings, role-based dashboard designs, security role mapping, implementation timeline, go-live support, and end-user enablement materials.
