Data Analyst - Remote, PA

Submission Due Date: 06/11/2026 Client - State of PA Remote, with occasional onsite in-person (5 North 5th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101-1905). This requisition will feature first round interviews via Teams. Submit only candidates local to the Harrisburg, PA Area. Equipment pickup on first day will be onsite, with other occasional days as directed by their supervisor. Work schedule will be specified during the interview. Within PSERS we are hiring a Data Analyst to partner with internal business partners to develop, deliver and maintain analytic applications and solutions. Typical analytics responsibilities include use case development and opportunity sizing, experimentation and feature analysis, visualization, and data transformations.

What you'll do

• Core Responsibilities
• 1. Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals Adhere to engagement process structure for business requests, translating requirements into an analytical project approach, and leading projects through completion. Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives.
• 2. Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
• 3. Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts.
• 4. Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
• 5. Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
• 7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications
• · Minimum of five years related work experience.
• · Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

• Stakeholder management, general awareness of risk and performance best practices, value-driven prioritization, Tableau (required), Power BI, SQL, Python.
