Job Title: Lead of AI Engineering

Job Description: 

We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader to revolutionize the way our development teams build software by integrating LLMs and AI-driven tools across the entire development lifecycle. This role involves leading teams that design and deliver AI-powered products and infrastructure, leveraging open-source models and Agentic AI frameworks, while championing a Spec-Driven Development approach. 

What You'll Do: 

• Lead engineering teams in adopting AI-native development practices while maintaining code quality, security, and architectural standards 
• Build and scale internal AI infrastructure (LLM platforms, development assistants, code generation pipelines) that accelerates team velocity 
• Champion spec-driven development methodologies across the organization 
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to identify opportunities where LLMs can enhance both development processes and product capabilities 
• Establish best practices, governance, and quality standards for AI-augmented development workflows 
• Mentor technical leads on effective prompt engineering, model selection, and integration patterns 
• Measure and communicate the impact of AI tooling on team productivity and product delivery 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Education Required: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience:15+ years software development experience with 7+ years in engineering leadership roles 

Technical/Other Skills Required: 

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing LLM infrastructure (open-source models, private deployments, API integrations) 
• Proven track record of improving team productivity through process innovation and tooling 
• Deep understanding of software architecture, code quality practices, and SDLC 
• Experience with ML/AI concepts and practical application in development workflows 
• Strong technical communication skills to bridge AI capabilities with engineering practices 
• Track record of delivering products faster without compromising quality 
• Experience with ollama, LangChain, or similar LLM frameworks 
• Background in ML model evaluation and fine-tuning 
• Experience establishing spec-driven development practices 
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
