Candidate must be local.
Will be required to be onsite at 1980 West Broad St, Columbus, minimum of 3 days a week.
The candidate will be supporting The Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) working with a designated application team: Application Development Manager, Project Manager (PM), Technical Lead, Business Analyst (BA), Database Analyst (DBA), and Quality Analyst (QA) in an iterative development environment.
This position will function as a highly skilled Architect (AR1) with specific responsibilities that include:
• Developing the Application Team’s work plan/project plan
• Participation in requirements and/or design review sessions
• Develop and test application in support of the project specifications and interfaces
• Collaborate with the technical team members in creating designs
• Provide status of work and deliverable estimate to Project Manager and/or Technical Lead
• Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks
• Resolve issues of inaccuracy or feasibility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time, work under pressure of tight deadlines, and meet assigned deadlines
EXPERIENCE:
1. Ability to collaborate, negotiate and take direction from the supporting resources across business and/or functional lines
2. Possess excellent communication skills; both oral and written skills including
strong meeting and work session skills
3. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
4. Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting issues
5. Ability to design/code and troubleshoot/fix application/server level functional and/or service level (performance, scalability and security etc.) issues
6. Proven experience in handling data conversion including but not limited to data integration (real time and batch) mapping, transformations, bulk data import/export, mass updates, cut over plan, exception handling
7. Demonstrate strong experience in writing /debugging/tuning complex business logic for backend applications
8. Experience participating in development of standards and product recommendations
9. Experience designing and architecting systems as a member of a design team
REQUIRED SKILLS:
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.
5-7 years relevant lead developer experience:
• ASP.NET
• .NET Core
• Angular
• C#
• Object Orient JavaScript
• Proficient in the standard SQL (Structured Query Language): syntax used by any one of the following database vendors (Oracle and MS SQL Server)
• Visual Studio
• Batch application processes and scheduling tasks
• ETL processes/tools
• File creation and transfer
• SQL, ORACLE SQL server
• Reports
